Join us for our inaugural clergy retreat! This event is open to all clergy — church staff, chaplains, and those serving in nontraditional ministries. Non-clergy spouses are also welcome!
Facilitated by longtime pastor and current Truett professor Larry Parsley, this retreat will be lightly programmed, in order to maximize time for rest and reflection. Spiritual director Diana Bridges will be on hand for those who would like to schedule a session of deep listening and spiritual friendship.
We’ll gather at beautiful Camp Allen in Navasota. While group sessions will be directed to clergy members, spouses are also invited to take advantage of spiritual direction, as well as the grounds and activities. Activities include:
Athletic courts
Barnyard viewing
Disc golf
Fitness center
Hike & bike trail
Nature trails
Park & pavilion games
Sports field
Tuesday evening campfire
Horseback riding (if there is sufficient interest)
Archery (if there is sufficient interest
Best of all, this event is heavily subsidized to allow clergy to attend at minimal cost. $100 per person covers two nights of conference center lodging, six meals (from Monday dinner through Wednesday lunch), and all programming.
